According to their narrated tales, in the past, one of the unjust rulers who applied his rules to the area between the two rivers (Mezopotamia) who was called......Zahhak......was rumored that he had two protrusions on his head with the inability of the doctors at that time to eradicate them, they had to occasionally  rub in each protrusion with a brain of an infant in order to Relieve it from the pain.
This thing led to a great catastrophe among the people, especially among mothers, who were non-stop crying.
When a hero called “Kawa” appeared, who was working as a smith at the time and claimed that he could treat the king.., So the king summoned him, but he stipulated that he stay in the room with the king alone, on the pretext that no one would know the secret of his ability to cure the disease.
The king agreed, and when he asked the king to close his eyes, he took out his hammer and killed him with a blow from it, thereby saving a people who had suffered injustice for a long time ... Also, at that time, he was agreed with some revolutionaries to set fire to the palace as a message from him to end the era of Zahhak ... As soon as they saw it, the continuous celebrations and crescent moon started to this day.
... This is why the Kurds set fire to the night of March 21st, as a sign of the continuation of the Kawa's torch.
